Rental Terms
The vehicle must be collected and returned at the agreed location and within the confirmed rental period. The renter must hold a valid driver licence appropriate for the vehicle and meet the minimum age and eligibility requirements specified at the time of booking. The vehicle must only be driven by approved drivers listed on the rental agreement. The renter is responsible for taking reasonable care of the vehicle and complying with all applicable Australian road rules and Victorian laws.
Payment Terms
The total rental price, including any applicable taxes, fees and selected optional services, will be confirmed before the booking is completed. A valid payment method may be required to secure the booking. Any security deposit, bond or pre-authorisation will be handled in accordance with the rental agreement. Additional amounts may apply where the renter incurs approved charges during the rental period.
Extra Charge Terms
Additional charges may apply for items such as late returns, additional kilometres, tolls, parking or traffic infringements, cleaning beyond normal use, fuel or charging costs, lost keys, damage to the vehicle, or other services requested by the renter. Where permitted, applicable tolls, fines and infringement-related costs may be charged to the renter after the rental period.
Duration Charge
The rental charge is calculated according to the agreed rental duration and vehicle selected. If the vehicle is returned later than the agreed return time, additional rental charges may apply. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and must be approved before the original rental period expires. Returning a vehicle early does not necessarily entitle the renter to a refund unless otherwise stated in the booking terms.
Vehicle Condition & Damage
The renter should inspect the vehicle at collection and report any pre-existing damage or condition issues before driving away. The vehicle must be returned in substantially the same condition, allowing for reasonable wear and tear. The renter may be responsible for loss or damage occurring during the rental period, subject to the applicable rental agreement, insurance arrangements, excess and any exclusions.
Tolls, Fines & Road Charges
The renter is responsible for tolls, parking charges, traffic infringements and other road-related costs incurred during the rental period. Applicable administrative or processing fees may also be charged where permitted by law and disclosed in the rental agreement.
Cancellation & Booking Changes
Cancellation and booking-change conditions depend on the vehicle, rental period and rate selected. Any applicable cancellation fees or refund conditions will be displayed during the booking process. Changes to the rental dates or vehicle are subject to availability and may result in a change to the rental price.
Driver Requirements
All drivers must provide valid identification and a current driver's licence accepted for the vehicle and rental location. Additional requirements may apply to overseas or interstate licence holders. Any additional driver must be approved and recorded on the rental agreement before operating the vehicle.
Use of the Vehicle
The vehicle must be used lawfully and responsibly. Unless expressly authorised, the renter must not use the vehicle for racing, speed testing, off-road driving, commercial passenger services, towing, or any other prohibited purpose. The renter must not allow an unauthorised person to drive the vehicle.
Breakdown & Emergencies
If the vehicle experiences a mechanical issue or breakdown, the renter should contact the rental provider using the support details supplied with the booking. In an emergency or where there is an immediate risk to safety, the renter should contact the appropriate Australian emergency services. The renter should not arrange major repairs without prior approval, except where reasonably necessary to protect safety or the vehicle.
